Best Ever Banana Bread

This is what excites me about now having a blog.  I can share anything, especially yummy melt in your mouth banana bread.  I could literally make this recipe with my eyes closed.  For a decade my family has enjoyed this recipe.  Every time I make it, which is often, my house smells divine.  If only I could bottle up the scent of this bread while baking and put it in a spray can.


Sour Cream Banana Bread
Preheat oven to 350 degrees

1 Cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup mashed banana
1/2 Cup sour cream ( or Greek yogurt )
1 1/2 All purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla

Grease and flour a 9 x 5 loaf pan
Beat sugar and oil.  Add eggs, bananas, sour cream and vanilla. Lightly spoon flour into mixture along with baking soda and salt.  Double the recipe to make two loaves!

Bake for 50 to 60 minutes
