Farm Charm

Since I am here in the Shenandoah Valley at my husbands family farm it seemed appropriate to write about vintage farm and how to create the shabby farm house look.   D6XFYQGV2N8H

What is vintage farm?  How can you reproduce such a natural working machine such as a farm and how to create a vintage farm house space.  As I have mentioned before your space does not have to be wall to ceiling farm ware.  A few pieces here and there.  A chippy enamel bowl, worn baskets, shabby furniture, crisp white linens and blue Ball jars.  There are so many options to add in to your space to create a little farm feel.

Here are some simple farm pieces you can add to your space.

Mid Century Modern Madness

If you are anything like me when it comes to vintage home interior you don't have one particular style.  I tend to have Mid Century Modern, Arts and Crafts and Industrial Chic side by side happily filling up my over excited attitude about all things vintage and antique.

Watching Mad Men last night made me realize Mid Century Modern is not just about that amazing Eames style couch that Don Draper or Roger Sterling sleep off their mid day scotch on.  It can show up in your kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or sun porch. Most importantly it does not have to cost an arm and a leg.  Here are some great out of the ordinary Mid Century Modern pieces from Val's Vintage Shoppe.
